This was another one with a slim habit that was easy to stake, yielding big hearts from 15 to 21 oz. It has a rather large core and wasn't easy to peel raw.

Some catfaced, some pretty. A slim plant that is easy to stake. Large beefsteaks over a pound. Wasn't prolific for me this year but said to be for some.

This tomato has great taste and texture and is a perennial favorite with the neighbors. When you use the "2 plants to a stake" method you really get a LOT of them.

From Carolyn's 2012 seed offer, we (including neighbors) are more than a little excited about this one. It can be beautiful and it is always great tasting. Yes, it is as good as it looks. I'll go into more detail when Carolyn posts her feedback page.

In my garden, 14-20 oz. red hearts that had rather low production and didn't keep long when ripening on the counter. The plant was wimpy, I mean wispy, and stayed small for a long time. I was an impatient gardener with this one and Danko- guess I like hearts that come on more robust plants so they can keep up with the big boys in the garden.

This was more of a globe than a beefsteak and fruits ranged from 4.4 to 11 oz. but were mostly free of blemishes and had a really good taste. Still a little small, wet and seedy for a sandwich imo.

Yeah, wasn't sure how to list it. Is it an "e" or an "o" in Dester's/Destor's?

Sheesh...it's Dester's. I saw the misspelling first and it stuck in my head. All fixed!

An amazing tomato to look at, inside and out, the RL plant produced loads of 6 to 13 oz. fruits. Unfortunately, many of them had BER and/or catfacing for me this year.

This bushy plant grew like a shrub and was loaded with light orange fruits of varying shapes in the 0.5 to 1 oz. range. There was a slight blush on the blossom end.

There are plenty of 0.4-0.5 oz. cherries on this large plant. DH prefers it to Sungold but they split more quickly after a rain.

A large dark yellow beefsteak that I had to grow because of a picture I saw that looked more orange and much better than mine.
