Default Roma varieties with good taste & shelf life?

Are there any? Hybrids are ok with me. The yellow OP dwarf variety Banana Legs has excellent shelf life, but little taste IMO (and it was a Septoria magnet).

I liked Marzano Fire (Artisan Seeds) when I grew it. Absolutely beautiful tomatoes with decent taste .

I had one called just roma. Taste was great and shelf life very good. No cracking ever. I think there are quite a lot of variations of the basic roma, mine was more like a determinate dwarf, the leaves were somewhat rugose looking, the plant compact (imo too compact, which is why production wasn't that great). The shape was fairly pear looking, about 50-80 grams?
Any sort of determinate will do quite poorly against disease, one stem is pretty much a must if you have septoria and don't spray.

Looks interesting. What do the Marzano Fire typically weigh? @zipcode -- do you know if this is the common Roma (also found in the U.S.)? The more common one here is Roma V F.

Full-size Marzano Fire fruits probably weigh 7 to 10 ounces

I did like Marzano Fire, in part because it was quite attractive, but I also like the Dwarf Sneaky Sauce.
