JIMMINY CHRISTMAS DUDE that's huge. NEVER have I seen the likes o' that. Please Lord oh let that monster set a beaut. That one might give ol' Gordon Graham ( God rest his soul) a run for his MG. Please keep posting pics of what I will henceforth forever call "The big Poobah"! I'm saving these pics to my photos!

I recognize that and have had something similar in my garden. It is a terminal blossom that forms at the top of a plant that has been abnormally stressed. You can induce these by keeping a plant in a pot that is too small for a couple of months, then transplant into soil. A few of the plants will set huge terminal blossoms like the one you have. Plants like this are very unproductive. The seed from a terminal blossom have always produced normal plants for me.

Awww, good on ya Fusion, and we thought chickenman had been injecting Brads feild with steroids, nowing that they would be looked after very well. I am guessing he is waiting in the woods somewhere close and will steal the resulting fruit whilst leaving possum tracks in the mud.

Well the first bloom went through a couple of 100 degree days and did not like it.

The smaller bloom(only other one on the plant) has set so it will be something to see.

Pics from yesterday, today I noticed it had doubled in size and had some new wierd leaves forming off the leaves that are already on the plant. Hard to explain will have to take more pics.

Peters Seed Research's PSR 37 does something like
that. It gets these sort of flattened stems on side
branches that look like someone stepped on them,
and leaves seem to try to emerge from the center
of the flattened area. It looks like the edge of a leaf
growing sideways up out of the stem.

(I don't have a digital camera handy at the moment,
so no picture.)
