Default Jiffy Peat Pellets

What is your experience with them? Germination results?

One thing convenient about using peat pellets is if you arrange them to touch each other, then watering is much easier. You just water the tray, thru capillary action, all the pellets get wet equally together.

BTW, I think they come in different sizes. 30mm and 42mm?

Default Jiffy Peat Pellets

Thanks for the replies. I think I will go with the pellets for now on when starting seeds. It seems much easier. I also liked the reply on the discussion you linked to that points out the web type material can be removed when transplanting to a bigger container. That gives me a nice game plan for next year.

I've used peat pellets for years and they work very well for me. Before taking off the nylon netting me sure to let them dry out a bit. I find if they're a bit soggy they tend to fall apart when removing the netting.
