Default Gala Apple Tree

The Gala and the Fuji blossomed this year (2nd year)'
After the blossoming I notice this berry like growing from the center where the blossom was at. Will that be the apple?

"peaches are in, apples are out" This saying is about the position of the ovary which will become the fruit. Stone fruit (peaches, cherries, plums, etc) have the little swelling inside the flower. When the petals fall it will become the fruit. Pome fruits, (apples, pears, haws etc) have the swelling behind the petals.
