My both KARMAs are tough guys. They haven't lost any flower when the heatwave came. We had about 100F , I do not know how much it was in the Sun. My tomatoes sropped growing, they wanted to survive. Last week cold weather came from the North. They have 40F at night. Young leaves became a little bit purple. But Summer is coming back this weekend. Last year my KARMA Pink started to ripen about July 15th. This year we will have to wait longer.

KPMF is a beautiful multiflora. And KARMA Pink - firts fruit.

Wonderful Dorota!! I am very excited that they have done well in adverse garden conditions this was certainly part of the selection in my cold and Marsha’s hot humid conditions. I think they are very versatile and tolerant as a result
Thank you for the great photos!! I’m looking forward to hearing how you like the flavour.

Outstanding flavor for both of these (Purple Multiflora and Peach). These went into my first BLT of the season, and it was amazing!

Looking forward to trying more KARMAs!

Thank you! Makes my day, so pleased you enjoy them. Your plants are doing well? If so there should be lots more

Yes, I planted one of each in my community garden plot and at my parents' house, and the rest were planted later at my new house. One Peach and 2 purples. The plants in the first 2 locations are starting to ripen, but the ones at the house were planted about a month later, so they're getting tomatoes but not close to ripening. Plants are big and robust.

Default Update of my KARMA tomatoes and their progress

Hi all;
Just an update on the tomatoes that I am growing from the project.

Taiga: From the first pic attached you can see that this plant is going great in the Earthbox. The second pic shows some of the flowers and one of the little tomatoes that started growing on it a week or so ago. Great plant so far. Lots of summer left here in Prince Edward Island, Canada so I expect great things from it. I also have a second and possibly a third/fourth (we tried to do a cutting or two) in the ground at a friend's place. I will add pics of them when I get out there next (he is in the country near Tracadie).

KARMA Pink and KARMA Purple Multi Flora: I put these into the ground a week before Taiga went in the box but they have been lagging. Karen suggested that having 'cold feet' was the likely cause and I agree. The ones in the soil just aren't as productive yet. In the pics the Pink is on the left and the Purple MF is on the right. Both have some flowers and I left them on because I want to be sure to get something off of them for seed-saving and for tasting. I still think they will do fine in the long run. Lots of summer yet and they have been taking off. The closeups are first the Purple MF and then the Pink. I have no other plants out at friend's gardens so I will be living and dying by these two. As I said, they are a little behind but there is lots of summer so I think they will be all right.

Thanks; Pete
Note: Edited to correct the order of the cherry tomato plants.

They look good, the KARMAs will catch up, I would definitely never take blooms off any tomato plant

I tasted my first Karma, it was the purple cherry , and it was outstanding. However, the plant is very curious. It produced fruit on the bottom truss and then the next truss was about three feet higher. Also, the overall production on all the ones I am growing seems on the low side. It could be environmental, since many of my other plants are also not setting a lot of fruit and some have stopped growing altogether.

Hmm that’s unusual. The weather has been pretty good here as far as fruit set. Do you prune your plants? I don’t personally ever prune cherries. Can you post a pic? It’s early in the season for your plants to be giving up, mine are just really starting to get going and I would expect fruit from them well into September maybe October barring any serious disease issue such as late blight.
Are you fertilizing? They should be big hungry plants.

Looks very healthy, don’t prune it anymore, let the laterals grow. and I’m sure you’ll get lots yet, there’s still plenty of time.
