Little Lucky
Little Lucky was mentioned to me and I was trying to find out more about it, see what others here thought of it, and in doing a search got every thread with the word 'lucky' instead of information regarding Little Lucky. I'd love some feedback about this tomato to see if it is one that I'd like to add to my garden.
Thank you. GoldenQueen |

Thank you... I should've said more about what I'm looking to find out. What I am looking for is more than what is published on Tatiana's database. It appears to have a lot of jelly, could be creamy, soft textured. I like firm, sweet, not a lot of jelly or seed. These are descriptures not included. Have you had one to be able to describe it's texture?

It is not creamy. I don't like creamy. I would say the flesh is fairly firm, but it is juicy. It might have more jell than you like.
Ashleigh which has an amazing flavor is creamy so don't grow it, you would not like it. Remy

I have two questions about the Luckys:
1) Lucky Cross vs. Little Lucky vs. Little Lucky Heart - is there a significant taste difference. 2) I've heard (and I see that Jeff mentioned this above) that production is marginal and that the Luckys are very late season. Is this true for all of them? |

Little Lucky produces very well for me in Raleigh - it appears to have a bit more disease tolerance than Lucky Cross (which is more variable in yield for me).
As far as internal structure, Lucky Cross is like Brandywine - big slabs with small seed locules spread throughout. Little Lucky is more of a typical smaller tomato with 4 or so cells, a bit more seeds and gel - but not at all watery or seedy. I can't have a garden without both of them!

Thanks Craig - My 2011 list is at 109 varieties and I need to get it down to about 60, so something's got to give..

Right 40, something has to give. So what part of the yard are you going to plow up?

Thank you Remy. I appreciate your input. If it's got a lot of jelly, it's not really one for my taste. Guess I'll scratch that one off the list of potentials. And thanks for the heads up on Ashleigh.
