Default Native Seeds

Hi,

Has anyone here any experience with this company (http://www.nativeseeds.org/v2/default.php). I placed an order with them back in April for various seeds and I'm still waiting. I also placed an order with Baker Creek on the same evening and their seeds arrived 2 weeks ago, not to mention the shipping cost was nearly a third cheaper too and I got a free gift of some Aubergine (Egg Plant) seeds.

Any one else had a simular experience?

Wes

Yes, many years ago I used to order a few things and they came fairly promptly.

I'm a Lifetime member b'c I support their mission, same with SSE where I'm far more active as a listing member and have been so since 1989.

But I would n't consider Native Seeds/Search to be a prime place to order seeds from given the excellent corn and squash choices at Sandhill Preservation where the owner is Curator of Cucurbits for SSE and maintains many corn varieties and lists some very rare ones, many sent to Jere at Baker Creek from time to time.

And the largest choice in veggies and fruits of the SW would be probably found in the SSE Yearbook. Seeds listed there are available only to SSE members and you might wish to consider that if it's native american varieties of the SW that interests you.

Thanks for the heads up on Sandhill. I'll keep them in mind for next season

Finally after 3 emails and a very long distance phone call (across the Atlantic) I got my seeds today. Too late for this year though. Ahh well I'll have to wait until next year I suppose.
