Default Dester and Mrs Maxwell's Big Italian?

Hi all.
These are my new try varieties for this year.
I live in western NC and grow about 50 plants each year. Gold medal and Momotaro are two that I have been growing every year for a while but I always like to try a few new varieties and wanted opinions on the two above from people that have grown them.
I have grown Brandywine Suddeth's, and
Marianna's Peace and like both. I assume Dester and Mrs Maxwell's are similar?
Thanks in advance for any info.

I can't believe nobody's commented on Dester. If you do a Tomatoville search on it, you can see what's been said in the past.
1. Click Search, above.
2. Then click Go Advanced.
3. On the left, there's a place to type in keywords; type in Dester or "Mrs. Maxwell's Big Italian" (in quotes).
4. Immediately under that, click "search thread titles only"
5. Then scroll down to where it says GO, click that.

This will give you a list of any thread titles about the ones you're looking for. If there's not enough results, replace step 4 with "search entire posts"

Good luck!

I've grown Mrs. Maxwell's last year and really loved it. It has that full, rich Brandywine flavor

Dester I know very well, but here's what Tania had to say about the other one.

http://t.tatianastomatobase.com:88/w...7s_Big_Italian

I know Neil in Illinois very well and have known him for several decades and when he uses those adjectives for it, that's way down on his list of other adjectives.

But it's always about what was the season like when anyone grows any varieties, did you use any fertilizers,if so how much how often and when.Did you sprawl or stake you plants or grow them in cages or on trellises, or in large containers with support etc.

All I'm trying to say is that it's a moving target what any one will get as results anywhere.
