Default plucking blossoms

One year I plucked the blossoms off sub arctic plenty because I wanted foliage for cloning vs. actual tomatoes.
This year I am going to try it with stupice,to give the plants a chance to get bigger before breeding.I will try to time it to get a fall crop out of them.
I am curious if will boost disease resistance, the ones I had last year died quickly after producing.
