Default Antho + Variegation

I've been hunting the combo of Atv (leaf) antho and variegation for a while with my Blue Variegated Tiger project. Though I haven't found it there (yet), I did find it in a bee cross [(Hippie Zebra x Purple Dragon) x (Striped Big Cheef x Variegated PL)]

Paddy, that is amazing! Hope the fruit on that plant tastes good as well, it should with that parentage. Thank those little busy bees!

Here's the top fruit from the suprise antho/varigation Hippie Zebra x Purple Dragon plants.

HPDvarigated FY 6-1. Looks + taste. Good varigation. The total package. Will carry on for sure.

FY 6-9, 6-11, 6-3, 6-9 ( used in a cross), and 6-7
6-9 has nice looks, but weak flavor. FY 6-11 will definitely get a number of places in my '17 garden. Taste was 8/10, the plant was highly productive and kept the dark leaf antho/strong varigation all season, regardless of temperature. FY 6-3 had good flavor but low production.

WOW! those variegated purple leaves are really cool! Any update to that project?

p.s. has anyone ever observed brown or antho anthers? I know one accession from the tgrc reports one. And i know the tangerine or del orange types reportedly have dark orange anthers. I was just curious if anyone had seen any.

Looks like i fell into some antho variegation this season. One of my Moonlight Mile F4 Pink Heart plants is expressing antho on some of the new foliage and the main stem. This plant also is expressing all 4 colors of variegation on the leaves plus the antho. I cant wait to see whats to come of this plant.

Moonlight Mile - parents Faelan's First Snow (BEEFSTEAK) and Karson's First (SALADETTE). Neither with antho or hearts in the background. I'd say your Moonilight Mile was crossed with something else somewhere along the way.

I have also heard about another purple heart Moonlight Mile floating around also. Im glad it crossed some where along the way.

The antho/variegation combo is back with a vengeance this year. Strongest in plants descended from the 6-11 above.
