Default Mexican vs. Mexico

Are the tomato varieties Mexican and Mexico the same variety? The descriptions look pretty similar.

Edit: It looks like Sand Hill Preservation Center sells both. Does anyone know the history of Mexican (it says it's regular leaf unlike the Mexican at Tatiana's)?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm glad you looked that up.

Mexican 8-10 oz. Red

Mexico 1-2 lb. Pink

Sand Hill Preservation Center says that their Mexican is Pink, though. I'm wondering if someone just mixed up the names.

I think this should clear up the Mexico/Mexican situation and yes, I was the first to get the seeds from someone who subscribed to Off The Vine, which was an international newsletter that I started and asked Craig L if he wanted to participate, and he did. That was back in the early 90's

http://t.tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Mexico

I no longer live in Latham as noted,no different than Dorothy no longer being in Kansas.

And yes, Linda, Glenn's wife ,Sandhill, occasionally, not very often, does make a typo mistake. But some other seed vendors do as well.

I was just looking at a link to a seed site in TX that someone elsewhere referred to and talk about errors with variety names, whoa,a lot.

But it is TX you know.
