Default Bathroom Bliss

What does a new bathroom with designer fitout and 100-odd tomato, pepper and eggplant seeds in trays have in common?

You're right. The bright idea just came to me. My underfloor heating is one giant seed-raising bed. Add the humidity and, voila, couldn't be better.

Plus you can check on the action while contemplating the meaning of the life.

Default Oh No.

Mrs Grub is decidedly cold about this idea. Hmmm. Who would have guessed? I have room for one tray either side of the toilet and three under the vanity. Still plenty of floor space remaining Will introduce them slowly.

Default They're In

Got the green light to bring in the eggplants and peppers. They fit really well on the bathroom floor.

Default Plan is Working

Peppers and eggplants are now germinating thanks to the heated floor in the new bathroom renovation. And they fit under the vanity perfectly. Tee hee hee

New bathrooms are cool. They are so clean.
Don't know if I should say anything but there's a little fella squatting and I don't think hes found the new loo.

Default That Little Bloke

We adopted that little squatter from Freedom, that slave-labour aid agency

Heated floor is working a treat.

What do you think of the splashback? I chose it myself.

Default Hahahaha

Yeh, he's the mini-brick layer and a proud one at that. You guys are such cards.

I've been having fun lying on the heated floor with my Seed Key and identifying which ones are up and which are not.

Got some eggplants and rocoto hot peppers now. But sweet peppers are slow as a wet week.

I love your "splashback", Grub! - we call it a backsplash - I guess not just the water going down the drain is "backward" down there!

Seriously, it looks great - very earthy. How does it actually come (certain sized tiles?)

Default Backsplash

Thanks. The backsplash (lol) is Travertine (spelling). Comes in sheets about 300 x 300. It's all uneven and that wall in the bathroom is a little out of plumb. So it works well there.
