Default Captain Lucky

I had seen Captain Lucky listed in many of your posts for this year's growing season as well as others. Purchased some from Artisan Seeds and have waited to try my first one.

OH MY!! This tomato is so delicious....the plant is a gorgeous potato leaf, healthy as all get out. I will definitely be one of those that list Captain Lucky in my favorite top 3.

It’s a great one. From the late Millard Murdock of NC.
There are a lot of other varieties from him that are fantastic as well and should be grown more widely. Far superior to many better-known OP beefsteaks imo.

I like it too! It may become better known--I notice Johnny's Seeds added it this year.

I enjoy your Karma Miracle too, Karen. I reminds me of Captain Lucky in flavor and color, but it's much earlier and a perfect size for salads. Thanks to you and Millard both!

Thank you bitterwort! I think K miracle is a sweeter captain lucky flavour.
it’s a parent so comes by it honestly.

I agree. Captain Lucky is a vigorous plant with exceptionally flavored tomatoes. An all time winner for sure!
