Default Rapid-gro fertilizer

I just found a 5 pound jar of RA-PID-GRO powder fertilizer hiding in my basement. I figured that I bought it about 1985. Chevron Chemical Company made this product. They stopped making it back in the 80's from what I read. The fertilizer appears to be in great condition as it was always keep in my house with the lid on the jar. The strength is 23-19-17 with 5 micro-nutrients. The price on the jar was $9.98 for the 5 pound container. Can anyone think of a reason to not use this product at 1/2 strength on my tomato plants maybe 1 time a month this season? I kinda feel like I just found a "diamond in the rough" here All opinions are appreciated >>>>>Talon
