Does anyone ever get triple topset clusters ( a cluster, more main stem, another cluster, more main stem, and one more cluster)?

I have - most of mine do at least two tiers some years.

Two tiers is the norm, here.

My walking onion bed was getting old, so instead of digging, dividing, and transplanting, I dug up almost everything, and planted all new topsets. I quickly planted masses of them in several clusters. Next spring, I dig them up and space them.

The old bulbs were eaten.

I received Catawissa variety topsets from Keith who got them from Martin so I'm looking forward to
trying them out. I also have another variety that I got from Burpee.

I only have used the greens of my walking onions. Do people like cooking with the bulbs? What about cooking the topsets?
