Amethyst Jewel, Blue Bayou and P20xBeauty King F4 were the ones everybody liked in the blue section. The very best was the beauty king cross, very tasty and good size

Some possible health advantages.

I understand that the antho has some health benefits if you can get a stable mater to taste good across the board for market sales.

There's also research that indicates high-antho tomatoes resist spoilage better.

Spoilage is related to protein content and specifically glutamate content. The latter is the prime carrier of the savory taste which has mostly been bred out of supermarket tomatoes. For home orchard production, fruits that are high in glutamates are typically very high in flavor and very low in shelf life. Increased anthocyanins is a desirable characteristic but unrelated to flavor or shelf life.

Charley,
Happy Thanksgiving! What is the difference between the varieties Ozark Sunset and Ozark Sunrise? (and don't say about 12 hours!) Lee |

Thanks Lee,
I hope you have had a great day, too. Since I can't say 12 hours, I guess I'll just have to say that the antho in the Sunrise is on the west side of the fruit while the east side of the fruit is sunny, and vice versa for Sunset. Charley |
