We all need a day with 36 hours (as long as 32 of them are sunlight)!

I hear ya on the longer days. This is the time of year that's crazy nutty and where all those winter plans start getting crossed off my list for another year.
BTW, the order I placed with you for the myco and fish fert was delivered in just a few days and I am tickled with the customer service! Hats off to you for a great store. I am recommending extreme pumpkin to everybody I know

Sherri, I thought your days were a lot more than 32 hours of sunlight. Maybe that comes a little later.

Hi, Paul. We do get to nearly 24 hours, but not quite yet. We had a big snow this week (over 8" in Anchorage), so I am so ready for some long, sunny days!

Tom,
Good to see another giant pumpkin grower on this forum. Do you grow tomatoes mainly for competition(large size?). I grow tomatoes for taste and utility. I go by Doug14 on those giant pumpkin forums. |

Just wanted to say how much I like your name.....and the book of the same name. I also like the little squash y'all are leaning against. It's such a shame y'all don't have a season long enough to grow anything with some real size to it.

I grow tomatoes for the sheer love of it, I cant bring myself to cull down to one fruit. My neighbors love the varieties I grow every year, I really enjoy sharing them, some of the old timers compare the flavor to what they remember growing up with on farms.
I love growing Giant Pumpkins, the analytical side of it is great, alot of time and research goes into those giants, plus, where else can you see a fruit put on 35 plus lbs a day for over 35 days straight! Doug good to see you here as well! easttx hippie, that was one of our smaller fruit at 893 lbs, but what a beautiful color it had! Our biggest was last year at 1401.5 lbs. Tom |
