Okay, I put up a 35 ft run of 4ft wire and planting National Pickling. We'll see how it turns out!

I've been using 6 feet for many years.
I aim for one plant every 4 inches.Irrigate every other day.Use Sevin and Daconil for bug and disease control.

I agree with using the Daconil and Sevin seems to be the most effective controlling the melon worms or pickle worms that bore into the cucumbers but I wait til I see the first hole in a cucumber or squash before applying it. Those worms seem to come in waves a few weeks apart so I usually only have to use Sevin twice during the season. At the slightest sign of mildew I spray my cucumbers and squash with a dilute bleach spray because once those diseases take hold down here in our hot humid climate they will totally ruin the plants.

Powdery mildew is frequent here,also.
Since I usually have spray the tomatoes once a week for blight control,I hit everything with it.
What is your formula for bleach spray?
