Pollinating blossoms

I don't have many bees around and was wondering if tomato blossoms need to be hand pollinated or are they all self fertile??

Search for threads that talk about using electric toothbrushes to help pollinate tomato blossoms. A lot has been written about the method around here. Also, tomatos are self-pollinating (most of mine are inside screened houses without any bees around and I still get plenty of tomatoes without doing any hand pollinating!).

The easiest most successful manual method for pollinating blooms is to use an electric toothbrush.

Take the brush and lightly vibrate the stem behind the flower. You will see pollen released on those blooms that are mature enough to be pollinated.

This was done by me last season with fantastic results.
