Default First small picking!

We are getting hammered with rain but I did manage to inch into the garden a bit to get these! Not much but it is a start!!! Well and this is all I could get to as the mud still has my shoes about 6" down

That's a very nice first harvest. Plenty enough for a nice dinner. You can get the rest when the ground dries out for another meal.

I wonder what your shoes will grow into?

truth! should have planted okra. I did plant castor beans and they are fabulous this year. never seen nicer ones and the best part about them is there are no moles or voles in my garden this year.

it is soooo wet here. we have corn in the high tunnel (pet project for a son) and the same variety outside. in the tunnel it 6' tall outside it is 3' tall tops! that is with the tassel. the ear is literally at ground level. it was hot and dry for the month of June mostly and now it has rained and rained and rained. it is saturated. we ... including Spike, have a flash flood watch until tomorrow.

Poured this morning but the sun is out now. I really need to mow before I need a brush hog >,< I would also love to get my shoes out of the garden lol Since the sun came out, I decided to see how wet the yard was. Well I splashed around a bit, longingly looked at my patch of quick sand aka garden, gave up and came inside to beat some cobwebs into submission.
