Lots going on in the Sweet Potato breeding programs. LA 18=100 from LSU which may be released soon is way more productive than Beauregard and early. Looking forward to that one when available

Exciting new varieties from NC State. Looks almost looks like beach sand where they are growing them, Sweet Potatoes grow well in sandy soils of North Carolina and Georgia,

Early research is showing that more Potassium may be one of the key nutrients in growing sweet potatoes.

I grew 12 varieties this year. Still in the process of tasting them. The dry ones are good but not good for baking. Maybe have to boil them

Sand Hill has their 2024 sweet potato list up today. What better day to debut them? I am sure there are several new ones but but the only one I am sure is new is Virginia Red Have a Happy Thanksgiving

The Sweet Potatoes in all of our Food Stores in Hampton are just Beautiful. It seems like all "Sweet Potatoes Framers" had a Great Season with all of the Heat we suffered through this year 2023.

That's a lot to be Thankful For, Amen!!
