Default Ruby's Salad Bar Surprise

Back in February of this year I ate lunch at one of our local Ruby Tuesday restaurant locations.

The main course was absolute garbage but the salad bar was delicious. The tomatoes they had were some of the tastiest that I have ever had from a restaurant salad bar.

As any tomato obsessed individual would do, I took a Saltine Cracker wrapper and saved approx. 15 seeds.

Here is the result of planting one of those seeds.

The tomato shown is approx. the size of a half dollar in diameter which corresponds with what I remember the tomato slices to be.

The plant was transplanted on May 3rd and is somewhat squatty and wide sitting at approx. 4. feet in height.

I'll post more photo's as the season progresses.

Well guys, the chance to grow this presented itself right in front of me on my salad plate so I saved the seed.
It could be the same as what I had eaten or it could dehybridize into something a bit different.
All visual indications dictate that it's the same tomato but we will see when it's time for a taste test.
