I guess there was a bit of a washout with all that rain.

The plants have exploded but the heat kicked back in and the ghost peppers are dropping blooms.
Nothing I can do about it.
If all the blooms wouldn't have dropped I would have had hundreds of peppers.
Still many blooms forming and the weather is supposed to start cooling down.
Letting the okra go to seed for collection.
Letting basil flower for the bees.
Sweet potatoes growing like mad.
Grapes still growing like crazy.

Friend brought me a bunch of Swenson Red grapes from her greenhouse. Home grown grapes are so worth it!!!
Think of it, grape chasers for your ghost peppers.

I have a wee vine now in its second year, maybe a year or two before I can hope for grapes as well.

From what I think I have read and understood the fruit come from last years growth.
This growth needs plenty of sunshine.
Or so I think.

Talking about peppers ?
I have never have had such a bumper crop of peppers, from sweet to mild and super hot. They seem to love our sandy soil. My 2 Bhut Jalokias must have had hundreds of pods. I have given away, harvested and drying.Still the plants are loaded. Many just fell off the plant and rotted. How much super hot peppers do I need ?
My okras producing nicely from new growth on the cut backs.

Several of these little devils hiding in the plant.
Many more setting fruit now that it cooled off and raining.
Plus the 13-13-13 worked wonders.
Also still consider the container experiment a great success.

Four plants and pictures of ghost peppers from each one.
I think the long skinny ones are oddballs.
What do you think.?

I think the pods in the first pic look like they were imported by aliens while you slept. Might actually be a cross, but I bet they're hotter than the others. Except for the gnarly arthritic form, they are as close to the phenotype as the others.

The pictured plant, I was going to comment on earlier. Mine in mostly full sun were more tree-like in form - later in the year not so much low foliage. What sun pattern does that guy get?

Mine ( 2 ghost pepper plants ) both have short/fat pods w/ a wrinkle in the middle. and pointy blossom end.
It took them a good while to take off. Now they are huge , loaded with pods.

Four plants one container.
Sun most of the day.
The back two plants got ate back by deer some time ago and they were always like that.
So the front two make it look like and plants have a lot of bottom growth but they are different plants.
The plant in the front right has the odd ball peppers and is the one I mentioned early on that I didn't think looked right.
