Sue, the plant itself looks like any basic pepper plant. I'm not sure if they grew stunted or not, but the plants grew to almost 3 feet tall. If I grow them again, it will probably be in a 5 gallon bucket. I won't know about how large their root system is until I remove them from the garden. This was our first year to grow this variety.

In years past, most of our pepper plants grew to around 5'tall. This year, they got to around 3' tall. I believe this was due to the 7 weeks of flooding rain almost every day in May and June. At first, I thought the lack of taste was because of the rain, but they never did build much taste over the summer. They did produce a lot though.
