Good to see that it shouldn't be an issue growing Okra in a container. I'm growing Okra for the first time myself this year, also in a 5 gallon bucket, figured I'd give it a shot and see how it does. Hopefully it'll do well.

This makes sense to me. I planted one each in two 5 gal. containers, and they did ok, but I never got more than a few off each plant every few days. Ended up just chopping the 4-6 pods into salads instead of saving them up for a larger recipe.

Seems to me it's a plant, like corn, than you need a lot of to get a good enough yield to do anything with. That being said, those few were good in the salads! I like my okra better raw.

In my opinion Okra in a 5 gallon bucket is little more than a novelty plant.

I like okra so much I would have to have at least 100 feet of it to keep me happy.

I just buy it in large bags at the store.
Fried.
Whole pods.
Cut pods.

I just dont have a schedule for growing okra.
