Default Naseberry

Has anyone here ever grown Naseberry (Neaseberry / Saponilla Tree)?
Apparently it's edible, as I saw a Facebook friend mention in his post he had found and bought some fruits at the local market, and they're supposedly full of vitamins and minerals. (in the Central Europe)

Just curious as I never ever heard about this edible fruit. (looks like little beets)Not going to grow it, but would love to hear from those who have.

A delicious tropical fruit, well that rules me out ever wanting to grow it.
