Default Massive fused flowers

This is a Dwarf Sweet Scarlett. What causes this weird mutant flowering?

Leave it,that's gonna be one ugly and huge tomato.Perfect for the ugly tomatoes thread haha

What causes it? They say it often happens to the first flowers when the weather is still cold.

Abort, pinch off, or if curious leave one or two. New gardeners find it interesting but usually just
an ugly tom. Folds and hard to get much fruit from it.
I get them in September-Oct as well when the the climate cools and miss a few...at that point i'm done.

Mostly due to cool weather early in the season.
But there are varieties prone to have mega blooms. For example , a lot of people grow Big Zac for its mega blooms that produce huge tomatoes. In my experience Cherokee purple also produced a lot of mega blooms. You won't see them on hybrids like Big Beef, Better Boy , etc.

You shouldn't find it as much on CP where you live now compared to Seattle.
I only got it on them at the very first flowering early in the cool damp spring and that is it.
