I have two plants of 3C3, both a little farther along than what you show here. The young fruit look identical to your photo, the older fruit showing clear stripes. It looks like it will be a small striped heart -GWR bicolor I expect.

The 3C3 plant I am growing looks a lot like the picture above, except the fruits at this stage are darker green and have more prominent stripes. They're definitely hearts and I'm hoping they won't succumb to BER, like another heart I am growing.

I had no luck germinating the 3C8 seeds but got 2 out of 3 of the 3C57 to germinate.

Both plants are out in the garden, one was planted out on 5/31 and the other (which was much smaller at the beginning and was going to be in a pot) got thrown into a vacant space in my perennial flower bed on 6/13 instead. This turned out to be a bad move, because two weeks ago I broke my ankle, and now I can't get to that one very easily! Not to worry, my son and husband are helping, and they tell me that the tomatoes forming on the plant in the flower bed are identical to the plant I CAN get to.

I know that a couple of other growers have 3C57 and i'm wondering what shape you guys are getting? Mine are not what I expected, they are oblong with a pronounced nipple on the blossom end and they have faint streaks more than stripes, at least so far. I'm also growing Blush this year, and so far, the shape of these is very much the same as those.

Both plants seem like they are going to be very prolific. The oldest plant has at least six clusters of fruit and many more clusters of blossoms. It doesn't look like either will be really tall either.

3C57 was one of the hybrids I sent out to Tomatoville folks this winter. It is the first to ripen here in MN. 3C3 is close behind, it is just starting to turn and looks like it will be a striped GWR with some blushing - small elongated heart.

I have one each of 3C5 and 3C45. Both are doing well. Both were planted out May 28. I haven't watched anything closely yet, but walking through Saturday I ran across this on 3C45. It's probably a couple of days from being fully ripe, but its the first to blush of 140+ plants I set out normally (55 varieties) - 45 days to this point. Impressive, given we've had very cool nights until the last three weeks (32 degrees the morning of June 18) - and even now, it drops into the 50's.

This is 3C61. It's an orange grape covered with broad green/gold metallic stripes. It almost looks like a green/gold with bright orange stripes, but the orange flesh color gives it away. Early with excellent flavor. I had very limited seed so only sent out one sample in this offer.

If I saved seeds from the 3C3, what would you expect the following generation to be like - would it continue to be GWR?

There is some variability in fruit shape, but this is typical.

The GWR phenotype is driven by recessive alleles of two independent genes. Selfed/OP progeny should be true breeding for the GWR trait.

Well, I picked the first one from my Plant #1. It's TINY and came in at only 48 days! The coloring looks the same as what Mark from Frog's Leap got a few days ago, but mine is much smaller. Without the sepals, it weighed only 4g (1/8 oz). The taste was wonderful! It had an intensity that was surprising. I hope that more sweetness develops, but this was at least a 8/10. It's possible that other fruit from the plant will be a bit larger, and there is a lot of green fruit on the plant.

Had one 3C3 today, - it needed to be plucked, since it was hit by BER (boohoo!). Even though not fully golden-ripe, it was OK to eat. The taste was a bit spicy, and reminded me of the black tomatoes. The next ones hopefully will be picked in the peak of ripeness.

Ate a couple of more 3C3. Very nice - mild, but spicy flavor. Meaning, no acidic tang, more like soft earthiness. if that makes sense

I should note that the 3C3 fruits were almost overripe.

Appearance Evaluation: Looks like an plum tomato from the outside. My striping is not very prominent. I'd like it to show better.
Flavor Evaluation: Really excellent! Underlying tang with a solid sweetness.

Appearance Evaluation: Looks like a small heart tomato from the outside. Very beautiful color. 'Cherry' two locule structure inside, but too big to be a cherry.
Flavor Evaluation: Rather bland. Slightly tomatoey with no sweetness coming through.

pH neasurements: I have a pH meter, but I couldn't standardize the pH to the available reagent (still measured too acid). However in comparing the two tomatoes,
3C3 was .3 less acidic, which I believe is why the sweetness comes through while 3C45's sweetness is masked by it's acidity.
