Stop with my jalapeños?

I am having a hard time growing my jalapeños. I am growing 3 kinds of peepers...chiletepins, Carolina Reaper and jalapeños. Out of all 3, it's the jalapeños that's struggling.

My jalapeños have Edema and I was told to have better drainage and water less. Even after doing so, they are struggling and are showing edema even on new leaves.

What should I do?...out of the 3, they were doing the best and then edema hit them and have been going down hill since.

To add, I am a new hobbiest. Still learning...

How long has it been since you changed the conditions? It may take a while for the plants to recover. Can you post a photo?

For me, I sometimes overlook obvious things I could do to rectify a situation. If you have more seeds - plant some more. I made the mistake of treating my pepper seedlings the same way I took care of my tomato seedlings.

Peppers are a different plant from tomatoes. They don't need the same amount of water and indoor lighting. I need to learn a lot more before giving sound advice. But as a newbie to growing peppers, I think replanting and doing a lot of research will help you. My 2 cents.

Pm me with your addy and I'll pop some jalapeno seeds in the mail to you. I have bunches. I'll send ya enough that you can keep trying if you fail again.

Sometimes the failures, hard as they are to take sometimes, are actually good learning tools for the future and how to grow and handle seeds and plants.

Don't give up hope.

Keep in mind that Chiltepans have very different requirements from some peppers. They are native to southern AZ. Hot,dry but more cold hardy than other peppers,too. I had a couple of mature chiltepans live through 20 degree weather without the benefit of a nearby wall or protection. They are very prolific and do much better in dry shade. They are delicious dried, sort of like pizza red peppers.
