So many delicious looking tomatoes from all over the world! How many total tomato varieties did you grow this summer? You probably have at least a couple thousand in your seed collection by now.
Here is a question for you: If you had to move to an apartment building, and only had a balcony facing south, and only had room for 10 containers for large tomatoes, which 10 varieties of those you have ever grown would you choose?

I had a collection with 7500 kinds, but since 3 years I dissolve it.
At the moment it is about 5000.

This season I had 130 plants, but it was a difficult summer, very rainy and cold.

My 10 bests:

Black Cherry
Ernteglück
Bloody Butcher
Chocolate Stripes
Pink Brandywine
Mariana's Peace
Negro de Arizcuren
Antiguo de la cabrera
Rosado de Ayerbe
Rosa de Huesca

Hello Anneliese,
I've been with my toms for some time, i.e. at the cottage. No TV, no computer, just life like 100 years ago. I now understand I've always been a "country/farmer/gardener boy" inside.
I've got to tell you that you were absolutely right when you said I'd have a decent harvest. 105 kilos so far from the initial 46 plant. But the number was reduced hard as early as in the last decade of July by late blight. All my blight non-resistant varieties were literally buried then. I was left with only 26 blight-resistant plants. So I consider the results pretty good. And I believe it isn't the final result yet.
See for yourself.

Well, some trouble with sending pictures. I'll try again.

Hello Milan,
it is looking very good!
My season was not good. With me the late blight killed a lot of plants but I had enough to eat...

Hello Anneliese,
just words out of my mouth. And late blight is still invading. So badly that it even mass-attacked my blight resistant clones. Fortunately, they are fighting back a bit. Here's the latest photo. Actually, in the picture it doesn't look as bad as it is.
