Oh nice. I always feel good walking in the woods. Was there yesterday inhaling the wonderful aroma of the big Firs. Their cool shade a relief from the heat of the sun. The smell of Cottonwoods is wonderful as their buds swell up in Spring.
The Chinese hold that doing Taiji practice near Pines is beneficial.

Also, being in or wading in moving water supposedly balances the ions in our bodies' electrical systems. Another thing we do because it feels good.

Wading in up to the neck, excercising under water for the novice let's get thin crowd is safer than all out,tv infused in conditioned air is more better in our book. The abrasive property's of sand ,shells, salt and the curling of toes when gripping the sand is a boon for circulation in the lower limbs.I gets to hone my my martials under water.Resistance is easy, balanced,.Mutts get a free bath at the same time.Win,Win.

When I was a kid, "forest bathing" meant something totally different.

It was actually more like pond or creek bathing---but it was in the forest.

It involved soap and water.

A part of our tribe settled in NYC.During our family visits them nuts would jump off off the piers,Devils Spit bridge up in Riverdale when they wanted to cool down. Most absurd thing I have ever done.Always joked that after done we "left a ring around the pier".Never again after seeing rats swim better than I.
