2007 fall rolls over to 2008 spring
Well, it has been quite a fall/winter/soon to be spring harvest. The mild temps. we have had here have allowed the plants to survive since August. I have been inundated with cherokee purples the last month(just looking for people to give some to). All good things must come to an end, and even though the plants are still holding quite a few greenies they are starting to show the stress of the cold temps and excess rain. I really want to pull the plants, (to avoid fungal spores around the few seedlings I am going to start), but haven't been able to do it with greenies hanging. It is quite a sight to see some 8-foot plants this time of year. Will be moving to Pasadena in April and likely to an apartment (If at all possible to a first floor with the biggest patio possible). No more 100+ plant summers for a year or so. Will post pics tommorow of what is left of my garden.

You could mail some of those CP's to me - haven't had a decent tomato since October! And not about to have one for another 5 months .
I feel for you, moving from a place that supports 100+ plants, to an apartment. (Send my your address - I'll mail some Tom's to you this summer & fall ), but it sounds like it will be a temporary situation? I look forward to your photos!

Kim thanks for the offer. If I really can't get a situation where I can grow toms at my place, than I will probably set up a garden at my mothers property in san diego and just drive down every two weeks. Here are some pics from March 1st.
these are 8 foot brandy boy F2s, not a lot of fruit left but they are starting to set again and look the healthiest. This is a champion plant that is still very healthy and loaded with tomatoes Peas with my sungold vine in the back. Still picking consistent sungolds off this plant since last spring. 3 of six remaining CP plants. Still at least 30 greens hanging with more seting. cluster of CP More CP Ripening CP VInce
