Gogosha
Gee this one is late for me. Must be weather and location. But the big PL vine has some whoppers in clumps of three or so and, showing a slight blush and some nice old-time concentric cracking, I cut them and brought them in. Hope they taste as good as they look. What do you think of Gogosha?

Gogosha did well for me, lots of clusters of good sized tomatoes, as you said. Large, productive and nice flavor. It also produced this fused monstrosity for me.

Maybe that's why it's called Go-GOSH!-A.
What a beast. Got bananas in there with them trying to accelerate the ripening. |

And why is it called Gogosha? B/c one of my former students, Tanya Gogosha, got the variety from her grandmother who brought the seed with her from the Tarnipal region of the Ukraine when she came to the US and Tanya gave the seeds to me lest she not pass the course. I don't have any fresh seeds I could send you but I think posting in the Seed Exchange Forum here might be the best way to go. And there are other sources for Gogosha as well, Sandhill Preservation being one of them, but I just looked at the catalog and they aren't offering it this year along with many others they aren't offering this year as well, b'c of the problems Glenn cited in the catalog and at the website. Googling the variety might well bring up additional seed sources.

Gogosha is listed in the 2008 SSE Yearbook, by several members.

Carolyn, it is one of the varieties I am going to try to germinate to test long term seed viability...you mailed me seedlings of the two Marizols (Gold and Purple) and Gogosha back in 1991! So I will be working with 17 year old seed to see what happens.
