I'm drooling over your flowers. : ) Gonan have to look up the ones you growing. I grew some of the dwarf sunflowers last year after seeing yours and they did really well.

I love marigolds, but the heat and humidity here makes them mold so fast. I grew State Fair Zinna this year. What a disappointment. The Magellan series grow good here, but the seed is so expensive and sure not as full looking as yours. What you fed yours with?

Thanks. The marigold I am growing has been the easiest thing to grow that I have. All of my stuff just gets Osmocote. My sunflowers are a little pale. They could probably use a dose of nitrogen before they go to market next week.

Thanks. It went ok. I got a lot of compliments on the flowers, but they are a lot harder to sell in the summer than in the spring. I priced them at $4, then started selling them 2 for $7. Overall, I sold about half of the flowers I took. The bed of my small truck holds about 75 pots. I could probably double that with a shelf.

My tomatoes still fly off the table, but supply is beginning to dwindle, due to disease and bugs.

The tomatoes and peppers and flowers look awesome together. Really pretty.
Sorry about the bad year for your tomato crop.

Thank you.

I haven't been back to that market this year, Worth, where the angry gentleman yelled at me that my prices were too low. My prices this year are actually a little higher than the going market rate, but the tomatoes still sell.

Most of the vendors selling tomatoes now have a cherry color mix of some sort. I was the first one doing that. The vendors next to me now have Fred Hempel's Artisan cherries, at my suggestion from last year. They are very nice people, and I'm not upset at all about being copied. It's flattering. I change my varieties every year, anyway, so we'll never have exactly the same thing.

Speaking of getting yelled at, one very angry woman walked by on Saturday, looked at my table, and admonished me quite loudly, "God did not intend for tomatoes to be that color!!!" I would have been happy to engage in a theological debate over the matter, but she turned and walked away quickly, before I could respond.

You are rocking it my friend, I can see a sign above your booth "the tomato man."

It is interesting, a great experience, and I have found many of your points to be the same.

Yes, they will copycat you.

One percent will never have anything good to say. (The one percent rule.)
