Yes with all of the tom foolery I do I get lucky and grow a few tomatoes.

Surprisingly Costoluto Genovese is still pumping out tomatoes.

From top Orange Russian, Neves Azorian Red and Costoloto Genovese.
The one in my hand is Neves Azorian also.

I also have a few others--well many others to pick in the future.

Thank you Zana I'm going to hit them tomorrow with more fertilizer and so forth, going to see how long I can keep these things going.

Not bad for being mostly ignored and on a drip timer for maybe 3 hours a day.

Worth-I hope you have better luck with the Orange Russian than I did, for me it was one of the most tasteless heart tomatoes I have ever grown. I still havent tried CG but would like to someday. Looking good!

Wow, so you really DO grow tomatoes? Hmmm...I was beginning to think you were some guy just hanging out here busting chops

Seriously, your plants look fabulous for growing in such a hot climate! Very impressive! The garden plot looks lovely too. Will you come here and fix mine for me? lol Do you get critters, or do they just become dinner when one shows up? I didn't see any fencing around the garden.

Oh hey, what are you using for cages? Something galvanized? I don't see any rust like my CRW cages. Looks pretty nice!

They are Texas Tomato Cages.
I live in an area of Texas that is a transition zone.
It is just south of the Balcones escarpment.
This is a fault that runs through the state from the south west to the north east.
The climate dramatically changes south of the escarpment.
On the escarpment line we have our own climate in Central Texas similar to the Mediterranean.
One of the few places in Texas you can grow olives.

Many German immigrants came here and it reminded them of home so they setteled here.

Well I could go on and on about the different areas of the state and its flora and fauna but I would bore you to death.
