Default real newbie questions about garlic

I understand hardneck , softneck, and artichoke, but what makes a silverskin a silverskin, what is a porcelain, and how do you pronounce rocambole? Dave

Not an expert but these may assist...

I only grow softnecks to date, in Texas.

Thanks, Walter. The garlicseedfoundation article was an interesting read - I'll go look at the main paper when I have a chance. The filaree farms site made the distinctions pretty clear, so now I have a better idea of what people are talking about.
