Default Temperature question

I recently transplanted my seedlings into 1 gallon containers and have them outside under a covered deck. Temperature will be in the low to mid 40s tonight and in the near future I'm sure. Should I bring them inside or will they be ok as long as they are under the covered deck? I have a halogen work light on a tripod that I could shine over, not on the plants as it puts out a good bit of heat.

I think they would be OK and maybe make them hardier.
I lost half of my tomato plants a week or so ago when the temps went down to 35. Then again they were 3" tall.

If they are under a cover they will be fine. I doubt it will even frost in Corpus. It will be borderline for me near New Braunfels.
