Default Fish Emulsion question

This year,Im trying fish emulsion for the first time.I mixed two tablespoons per gallon for my tomatoes.I wasnt sure of the square footage usage ,so I used one gallon mixed on four tomato plants. Is this too weak, just right,or too strong?

The Alaska Fish Emulsion instructions say a gallon (mixed) per every
25 sq ft of soil. Some ad for it somewhere said "or 2 cups (mixed) per
foot of plant". So, per plant, that would be 1 pint each on 1' tall plants,
a quart each for 2' tall plants, a half gallon each for 4' tall plants.

By the time they get 8' tall, you are probably out of season.

Might want to add molasses to that (equal amount to the fish
emulsion) once they set fruit.

Molasses provides a potassium boost, plus has some trace elements,
etc. Feeds beneficial bacteria, too.

Are we talking dry molasses or the thick syrup?

[molasses]

I had the syrup in mind. I put a tablespoon or two in a blender
with hot water, blend it, then put it in whatever I am applying
it to the garden with and add more water, so that I have one or
two tablespoons per gallon. (You can just stir it, too, but molasses
is fairly thick, so it takes awhile before it completely dissolves.)

You can add the molasses and fish emulsion to the same gallon of
water if using them together.

Edit:
Unsulfured blackstrap molasses from the grocery store works fine,
but it is kind of expensive. A feed store I checked had 5 gallons for
$14.99 (might be diluted already). There is also this place to get a gallon
online:

For the dry stuff, some people put a half cup (or more) in a quart
of hot water, let it sit overnight, stir it up, strain it, and use the
resulting liquid, adding whatever water it takes to fill up their
watering device. This probably has more than just molasses in it
(it will absorb some compounds from the grain substrate, too).
One can add the wet mash afterward to a compost pile, a worm
bin, to the soil at the base of a plant, etc.

i use neptune's harvest and they say mix 2 tablespoons with 2 gallons of water. you should follow the directions on the bottle but at 1st i thought that you made the mix twice as strong as you should have but maybe your product is not nh.

did you water the plants or spray them? if you sprayed this is way too much, all you need to do is wet the plants, 1 gallon sprayed on 4 plants is too much, i'd mix 1 quart in a spray bottle vs a sprayer that holds 1 or 2 gallons. but if you watered them then i'd say that is ok as each plant received 1 quart. i usually do not water them but rather spray them every 2 weeks.
