Hudson WY - Mine are going in raised beds, so I'm hoping for big 'uns!

I really was. I mentioned the brandy boys to my husband the other day and I said "he grows them in... umm either NY or Wyoming.".. .but I wasn't sure... well duh.

I started some last year in the small greenhouse I have and I only got a few since I started them too late but the ones I did get were great. I had them into Dec since we had such a nice Fall. they mostly hung on the plants until I picked them and shut down the greenhouse cuz it was too expensive to keep heating it.

By the way, I'm not a he. Maybe that will help you tell us apart.

Yes, German Striped (or Striped German -- whatever my avatar is called) is a VERY feminine tomato.

Pretty looking tomato. I Love bicolor tomatoes.
I am growing Old German and German Pink this year.
Next year I might try Striped German and German Queen.

HudsonValley - I am definitely a MALE - so that will help differentiate us. To confuse things a bit more - there is a city - Hudson, WY! But I am Hudson that lives in Wyoming not Hudson, WY - haha. But I don't live in Hudson, WY

Nice looking healthy Brandy Boys - Gardeneer! Your BB are getting a lot more sun than ours! Hope your conditions are right for the blossoms to pollinate and set fruit!

Giny - Yes - we do prune our Brandy Boys and all of our tomato plants in our GH setting. We have tried different methods but I think we have settled on planting them at 30" spacing and prune as necessary. This year we have not pruned at all with limited sun - so far.

While we are at these Germans - striped or not -, how do their tastes compare to each other? I get it that some are pink, some more bi-color.. but how's the flavor? (GP vs. GQ for instance)

Thanks; my avatar was probably my nicest-looking tomato in 2016. Old German is one I'm thinking about for 2018 -- the pictures I've seen are absolutely gorgeous. This year I've got Striped German again, and I'm trying another bicolor, Gold Medal. I considered German Pink, but went with Caspian Pink. I'm also putting Brandy Boy in a side-by-side comparison with Brandywine Sudduth's strain to see who gets invited back...

Well, then, gender is the only difference between us. There is a city in NY called Hudson, too. It's about an hour north of me.

Gardeneer, those are beautiful! Very healthy. I think you are going to have tons of tomatoes.

Awesome!

The only thing this photo has to do with Brandy Boys is that some of my Brandy Boy plants are in the background to the left of the purple petunia. But check out my purple petunia compared to the size of the bike tires.
