Cherokee Purple has always been a go to for me.

Not this year though, not enough room and want to try other peoples favorites. I've grown Coustralee, Black From Tula, and Striped German before. All were great tasting, wish I saved seed from the Striped German though, it was exceptional.

Some of other peoples favs. in the ground now are...

Big Rainbow
PBTD
Girl Girl Weird Thing
Porter

I'm looking forward to tasting them for the 1st time!

Tasmanian Chocolate is a must grow for us now. Also Russian Mini Yellow, which is a small marble-sized yellow cherry. There would be a mutiny around here without our RMY.

For me this is an impossible question. Every year i strive to grow a variety that is new to me. This year i have about 160 varieties and only Lucky Tiger and Mong are ones i have grown before. Both were favorites of my wife so as far as must grows go those would be the two.

Fred,

It's Dwarf Mint Streak (F4 in 2015) from the Kiwi line in the Dwarf Tomato Project. The parents were kind of mixed up and some were unstable, so I have found some very diverse selections from this cross. All have stripes or are mottled. Mint Streak has a sister called Crimson Streak, which is fat brick red ovals with green stripes. Dino Eggs gave us the stripes, and Purple Russian is probably what is responsible for the ovals, but I have also found a selection which is a round pumpkin orange salad-sized fruit with green stripes, which I named Jeremy's Stripes. It's been fun and, so far, all have a very intense sweetness and are crazy productive!

Interesting and fun read, but I have to tell you that you all are wrong. None of you
listed Cherokee Green which is the epitome of wonderful taste and the standard by which
all other tomatoes (including the Brandywines) should be judged. It is the yardstick for
comparisons. Did I mention that it is also beautiful?? I am sure this was either an oversight
on the part of all poster to this thread or they have just never tasted Cherokee Green. If
the latter is true, I extend my sympathies and you have my heartfelt sympathies for better luck
in the future.

The above sentiments are my presentation of fact and not the least bit opinionated.
