I love Rebel Yell too, but I wouldn't mind finding a large pink that starts bearing earlier in the season! Too late for this summer, unfortunately.

Hopefully you will like Zena’s gift then, it’s very early for a large tomato

Same here, and I like the name.

In her small garden this was the only tomato she would grow and it does well in the heat of southeastern Colorado. Tania has plans to include it on her grow out list this year and I hope it does well as it is a special tomato to me. The pictures look a little red on Tania's site but I can definitely state that they are pink. Good luck this year in your garden.

I still have seeds sent by you, and I will be growing it in my new containers this year. I grew two plants the last year of our in-ground garden. They produced well and the large heart tomatoes grew in clusters like cherry tomatoes do. It's my favorite heart tomato by far.

With pinks, it almost doesn't matter what you trial, as most are excellent (if you generally like pink tomatoes). That said...

Aunt Ginny's Purple
Stump Of The World
Rose
Earl's Faux
Seek No Further Love Apple
Marizol Bratka
Crnkovic Yugoslavian
Large Pink Bulgarian
Urbanite
Eva Purple Ball (smaller than the others above)

And for a very early pink beefsteak, I highly recommend Pervaya Lyubov.

...are just a few of the hundreds of pinks that you would probably like.

I won't recommend Brandywine Sudduth. Although I rate it at or near the top for flavor, that flavor rarely shows up without near perfect growing conditions. And, I rarely get those conditions, so most other pinks taste better in most years.

Caspian Pink did very well for me this past season. Will have at least 2 plants in Aug. when I start my tomato seeds.

My favorite is Marianna’s Peace though I didn’t grow it this year. Eva Purple Ball is another dependable tomato.

Well Robert, I wish you good luck in your Fall growout. I just got my tomato plants in the ground and two of them are from the last of the original seeds I acquired from my aunt. I do admire your tenacity in working around some of the problems you have faced with your garden area. Keep it up!

This is the first time I've seen this variety and it looks cool. I'm not planning on buying seeds for it. https://www.rareseeds.com/mushroom-basket-tomato/
