Default Is there a Jubilee variety that is potato leaf?

I got a tomato from my son last year that was brilliant orange. I saved the seeds from it and planted it this year. It has grown out as a PL. I asked my son what variety it was and he told me Golden Jubilee. Well I was at Lowes yesterday and they were selling Golden Jubilee, but they were RL.

I know there is a "Jubilee, an "Orange Jubilee and there is a "Golden Jubilee".

I am wondering if any are PL like the one I am growing.

Thanks mucho,

Charley

Thank you for the reference to Tania's info. In looking at the picture of the green fruit Golden Jubilee by Ted Maiden on Tania's site, the leaves look PL to me. The leaves on my plant look like the ones in the picture. These leaves are considerably different than the other RL leaves I have seen. These leaves look like Brandywine type leaves. I don't understand how they can be considered RL.

Thanks much,

Charley

Charley, I looked at Ted's picture and all I can see clearly is one mitten shaped leaf, not PL, and some smaller immature leaves in the background that appear to have smooth edges. But that isn't unusual and no doubt with age they'll be RL as Tania also indicates for this variety.

There are many variations on RL leaves just as there are with PL leaves/

Some more leaves to look at and with Google images you have to check the pictures to be sure that what you're looking at is GJ.

As I recall Tania also mentioned that Jubille and Golden Jubilee might not be the same variety. I missed that before.

But I didn't see anything PL/

So if it was a bee-made cross, how would it end up PL, since
RL is genetically dominant and PL is recessive? The plant
that the seeds were saved from would had to have been
the cross, and the PL plant that you have this year is likely
an F2.

This could very well be the case, that the plant is an F2. I'll be anxiously awaiting the ripe fruit.
