Not sure of the brand, just the main ingredient its canola or fish oils. What ever they had at lowes. I really believe that the neemix IGR is what is helping, because the bug larva cannot grow up.

I'll look for that on Amazon. I've had great results with Adams Flea spray with IGR for mites, too.

Just thought of something: Neem oil is supposed to be a growth regulator, so i just googled active ingredient NEEMIX4.5 and got the Material saety data sheet pdf on it. It said the active ingredient was azadirachtin. I then googled active ingredient neem oil, and it said azadirachtin. If you go to the GArden Safe website the 16oz neem oil concentrate is about $11 if I remember from 2 weeks ago correctly, and they do free shipping. It isn't very expensive, and is the exact same ingredient as in Neemix4.5. I think it may save you some money! I hope that is being helpful. |

Yeah that info was exactly what I was going to post, but just had not gotten there yet! The difference is that the neemix is a very concentrated formula, the instructions say to use it in con★★★★★★★★ with neem oil. I am not seeing many whiteflys, nor mealy bugs (crosses fingers).

I have been spraying about every 5-10 days. I use 1/4 tsp neemix per gallon of water, with 1 tbs neem, and/or hort oil each time.

I'm just always afraid to spray as I've had worse luck from killing plants with spray than from bugs. I did have a plant that I think may have succumbed to virus but all the others have been fine.
I pulled one at my Mother's in Scottsdale again yesterday. All the rest of her replacements look good. So, Dsrtlzbn, you don't get leaf burn with your mixture? And, your sprayer doesn't get all gummed up? |

Well I did end up burning one plant, the very top leaves because I sprayed the very end of the mix, which a lot of the oil had floated to the top, and was not mixed good enough. But I find that if I mix up the spray several times while spraying that does not happen. Also I spray at night not in the morning.
This is what I have been mixing up: (per gallon of water) 2 tbls of fish/seaweed emulsion 1 tbls hort. oil 2 tbls moore bloom 1 aspirin 3 tbls molasses 1 tsp dish soap 1/8 to 1/4 tsp neemix So far I have not had any leaf burn, just that one plant early on. I also try to spray under the leaves. |

I do use a sheer cloth to strain the mix because between the fish emulsion and the molassas it can clog up the sprayer pretty quick.

105 predicted for tomorrow, 108 possible. Yuck. I'm ready to move to zone 5-6!
Dsrtlzbn, I'll try your spray mix if I can find all the ingredients. Do you use a pump sprayer? What is horticultural oil? |
