Piennolo is not a dwarf

I expected this to be a compact dwarf, so I planted it in a 3 gallon container. It's not bushy, and is about 4' tall already. The tomatoes are still green.

If it's Pienolo del Vesuvio, no it's not a dwarf. It was kind of a spindlier PL for me, sort of like a taller Stupice.

Thanks Dee! It was sent to me as plain Piennolo, but I suspect that it is indeed Pienolo del Vesuvio. Definitely spindly and PL. Very dark green leaves too! I've transferred it to the veggie garden where I can train it up a string.

In Tania's write-up, she says that it is a "compact" indeterminate. Hmmm!

I've heard that it's delicious, and cannot wait for it to ripen

I want to hang it in my basement after the season's over.

It's one of those PDO types, where you can't call it Piennolo "del Vesuvio" unless you grew it in a particular region of Italy. That might be why yours was just called "Piennolo" It's confusing.
