Finally for the past few days we have had no rain and very hot sunny days and the bells are ripening so fast now. Of course sun scald is showing up more also but it is nice to have to go out and pick bells every day now. I pick then once they start blushing or if they have a scald mark on them. The blushing ones will ripen up in a day or two inside without me risking them getting gnawed or pecked.
