Actually, they have been in for over a week now. Transplanted out on March 10.

Temps have been in the 70's with no forecast of frost. Looks like a crop of early cukes on the way!

Hey Raybo!

GREAT to see you at it again! What do you like for a good bush cuke? Or cantaloupe as well? I have my space planted but am getting run over with requests for produce. I am doing grow bags, simply because of the cost issue.

I highly recommend both DIVA as well as Sweet Success. DIVA seeds are reasonably priced, but with the Sweet Success seed crop failure in Mexico last year, the darn things are running $5.00 for a pack of 20 seeds from the online seed companies!

Therefore, I would stick with DIVA this year and hopefully next year the supply of Sweet Success will be back in balance.

Ray do you ever have problems with the small cucumbers just dying and not producing a cucumber? I got three off my 4 vines and have yet to see any more deciding to grow up with some turning yellow on the flower tip and shriveling up.

They are really drinking from the SWC well. The vines look good and have outgrown a 7 foot trellis but like I said I have only gotten the 3.

Any ideas? Can't find much on the web. They are supposed to be self pollinating so that should not be a problem right?

Yes, your Divas are self pollinating You might want to give them a supplimental fertilizer feeding with a water soluble fert. They should be setting new blossoms for several months during their life cycle. Picking ones off the vines will stimulate new fruitset, as I understand it.

I was wondering about that and I just added 2 tsps. of Foliage pro to the reservoir so hopefully that will give them the boost they need. As much water as they are drinking it should show soon.
