They're very pretty fruits, Steve! You're having a tough year so far. My JD's are nearly all catfaced. I've given up buzzing and shaking cages/stakes to see if it makes a difference. PBTD were one of the prettiest fruits I've ever grown.

Thanks Kath, This shot of PBTD the lens was cold on the camera and a fog on the lens , i cleaned it but looks so nice i posted this fog shot My only Jds plant is 30" tall, i hope the plant can hold all these? it looks like over 12 on 2 branches, 6 each together. I have flowers only still on Italian red pear, BTD, black and brown boar, Earl ? Even Black cherry is slow this year, usually my first fruit, and this week i saw the baby rabbit who eat all my Sungold plants. in june.

Jd's can get really loaded with fruits and it stays pretty short and stocky. I've never had a branch break on any of them. This is the 4th year in a row that I'm growing it. I have such bad luck with cat-facing on this one that this may be the last year for me as long as I have another great tasting dark.

Your photos are always amazing, Steve.

Ate my first JD's just yesterday. Very nice tomato. Similar to CP.
Pink Berkeley TD was fantastic last year. A stunningly beautiful tomato and wonderful flavor. It would have ranked very high in the taste test.

Still waiting for my first Pink Berekely TD this year. Have a bunch on the way.

I gave some of my fav seed to this group last September its a nice group called "The Food Project". I talked to them at our farmers market last week and i asked about my seeds. Well i just went there huge garden 1.5 acre yesterday, only 2 guys work with this group of kids. They need any help because the kids have no idea what they are doing, really nice young guys. Funny for Hybrid tomato's they grow them on ground but Heirlooms. They had string up to 9" for the plants, over our head it a wire for 25ft for maybe 15 plants. Funny looking and i ask where was Brad seeds BTD, Black and Brown Boar, Black Heart, Franci Italian Pear, plants? The names are gone in the ground now, I said I will be back soon. These guys have never grow any heirloom tomatoes , and sell all this food in Farmer markets around Boston. I work for 1 hr cutting the bottom leafs off over 50 plants. I was cutting and walked into a tree, hit my head, funny. This is my first time helping this guys. I also told them before the fruits are ready i will come and show them what this will look like, and i can tell the names after the fruit are growing and maybe with these names and what Brad wrote about them might help them sell in markets

JD's Select C-Tex or JD's Special C-Tex? Are there two different JD varieties?

I'm growing Pink Berkeley Tie Dye this year and have some enormous ones hanging in clusters. Last night they started showing the first hint of pink so I'm looking foward to seeing how they do.

I grew Black Zebra tomato last year. Did not like the skin, was to thick for me. Does Pink Berkeley Tie Dye has thick or thin skin?
