Default White Splotches On Tomatillo Leaves

These splotches are showing up on one of my three tomatillo plants.

In fact, the whole plant is lighter in color than the adjacent two tomatillos. They've all been fertilized the same so I'm wondering what else it could be. I can't find anything online that looks like this so I'm hoping someone here can recognize it.

this may help

And it's good to remember that there are male and female tomatillo plants and it's best to have both growing at the same time, close to each other or you won't get any tomatillo fruits.

Don't think that's the case. I was under the impression tomatillos contained both "sex organs" and simply needed another variety or plant to increase fruit set. Never have seen plants labeled as male or female in a nursery either.

I've been reading the debate here about male/female tomatillos. As this is my first time ever growing them, all I can do is make observations. Of the three plants I planted, there are fruits on two now and the third plant is large and covered with flowers but no fruits at all until yesterday when I saw just one starting.

BTW, one of the three plants has now wilted. It wasn't like bacterial wilt though. It would partly wilt and then be fine in the morning. Every day a larger part of the plant would wilt and recover overnight. Now it's wilted and staying that way. I'm suspecting nematodes but then the two adjacent plants are fine. I'll know today when I pull it out.
