I have an interest in tomatoes from Spain. This year I'm trying Karkiano. Unfortunately I don't know much about this variety yet but I'm trying to get information from someone who has grown this variety in the past.
Is there anyone on this thread who may know about this variety ? I would appreciate any information on Karkiano.

I don't cultivated this variety.

But here some information.

It is a variety cultivated in The Basque Country. It's also known as Karkizano. Records of the regional seed bank states, it's from the town Elgóibar, in the province of Gipuzkoa.

Weights around 300gr-600gr. Beafsteak type. Mature late, around 155 days.

We do our best, but there is still a lot to do. I'm doing this at my spare time, wich is limited.

I still have to add all the descriptions of the varieties cultivated 2020, but it is almost done. Poquito a poquito (Little by little).

Kind regards
Your side of Spanish tomatoes is interesting. I also regularly grow a lot of Spanish varieties (I have seeds from Baikal), this year I will grow six new varieties from Nico as well.

Looks like a strong & very healthy plant as do most all of your plants in the pics I've seen. Have you ever grown Karkiano before ?.

Thank you very much for sharing your pic of Karkiano. I don't sow my seeds till the first week in April and usually don't get ripe fruit till the first week of August mostly because I don't grow early maturing varieties any longer. But I'm looking forward to growing Karkiano this year.
